Macca:
Well, the 2019 Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow is well and truly underway and I’ve taken the opportunity to catch up with Scotty Grant from the Essential Caravans to find out what’s new for 2019 mate.
Scott Grant:
Mate, we’ve got the new Adventurers, the cruisers that are out. 15 foot caravans with separate toilet and showers in them.
Macca:
Yeah, righto.
Scott Grant:
So you’ve got your AL-KO suspension, enduro, cross-country. You can have them in normal suspension. You can go to our Highlander Series and it could be our full, top of the range with all our bells and whistles, mate.
Macca:
Oh, bells and whistles!
Scott Grant:
It’s got bloody everything.
Macca:
What inspired the new range? Look, a lot of the customers were looking for something a little bit smaller and a little bit lighter. So the van we’re sitting in now is a semi off-road van and it’s Prado friendly. So there’s a lot of vehicles like that, that we need to contend with. We wanted a lighter van, something a little smaller for mom and dad to tow and also families. We’ve got a little family van sitting beside us that’s 16 foot.
Scott Grant:
Yes, some great layouts.
Macca:
Unbelievable layouts. We’ll come up with our first four layouts and we’ll probably extend from there. But at the minute, this is the first time they’ve been released with the three new layouts that we’ve got here.
Scott Grant:
When I walked onto your stand, I noticed the sign that said Prado friendly. And I thought, there you go. Someone’s actually thought about this, because there is a few things you have to do with the Prado, isn’t there?
Macca:
Absolutely. So the new Prado, that’s three ton, but there’s an older Prado that was two and a half ton. It’s an extremely popular vehicle so we’ve looked at that and studied it and thought, well, there’s a lot of them out there, so we need to get in around that range. We don’t want to make it too hard for people. Yeah, we’ve covered it.
Scott Grant:
Mate, keep up the good work. If someone wants to have a look at these new ones or any of the range, where do they go?
Macca:
Come and see any of our dealers right around the country or go to www.essentialcaravans.com.au.
Scott Grant:
There you go. .au. Don’t forget the, .au.
Macca:
.au.
Scott Grant:
Get in it.
Macca:
Good on ya. See ya.
Scott Grant:
See ya.
